As i mentioned earlier that, this tutorial will be the hybrid mixture of relaxation techniques practiced and is practicing in both west and east, so the types will also be merged and they can be added in future days, as i am researching in this field too. Some of the major types are but not limited to:

  • Meditation: This is most ancient relaxation method which is used both in east and west and the most effective of all. You can have a look in our previous article meditation techniques for beginners to have a clear insight. There are various types of meditations too, but we will focus only on those which are effective for stress reduction and improving mental abilities.
  • Pranayama (Universal Breathing Exercise) : Pranayama is the purely eastern way said to be discovered and practiced by sages and yogis of ancient time in east, especially NEPAL and India. It is the ultimate relaxation technique introduced and developed by German psychiatrist  Dr. Johannes Schultz in 1932. This method is said to reduce stress very effectively plus accelerates learning abilities. It normally makes your body relaxed and mind alert, an optimum state for higher receptivity and performance.
