  • Within some days of the recovery process, the patient should not be allowed to stay alone. (One relative at least should always stay near him).
  • Initially, when taken to hospitals or recovery centers, the doctors will analyze the depth of addiction so that he can use the appropriate medications.

  • Can have problems in respiration.
  • The drugs stimulate access eating which cause weight gain in short duration.
  • Benzodiazepines can be fatal if used while taking alcohol and it overdose can be serious.
  • Benzodiazepines are very much prone to abuse. So, the patient should never be given authority to take it by himself.
  • These drugs lose the effectiveness after using for a period which results in increasing of the dose.
  • The patient can have sleep disorder and develop anxiety after using the medications for long time.
